Novi to Frankenmuth, Michigan.

A fun Sunday drive:

Today we did our annual run to Frankenmuth Michigan. It is about 90 miles northwest of Detroit and quite a sight to see. At Bonner’s, we find Christmas celebrated 361 days a year.

They specialize in all sorts of Christmas decorations and themed items.

The store is so large, that once inside, you will get lost on your first excursion there. After Bonner’s it’s the custom to eat at one of the chicken restaurants in town. Bavarian Village and Zehnders are on main street, facing each other. They have been competitors, both selling chicken dinners for the better part of the last century! It’s Sunday chicken dinner, served family style, and I will tell you, the table gets quite crowded with salads, rolls, side dishes, and of course, chicken.

Well, that is it for this year’s chicken run!
