A taste of Fall

At sixty-two degrees at mid-day, it’s certainly not summer anymore! What a change, but that’s Michigan. So when is it to early to decorate for the season…..you are right, never. The key is being properly prepared. A technique I employ is the progressive decoration for an event. If used correctly, you will take it easy on your budget, your husband and yourself.

First look and assess what you already have. Don’t just stop at your holiday decoration box, look throughout your home; you may have other items that you can tie into the current holiday. Think outside of the box. Your old bleached out summer urn can become your fresh fall urn with only the purchase of a can of spray paint. Remember, you don’t have to buy everything at once. By purchasing a few items at a time you can delete them from your needs list; it doesn’t have to be an all-at-once burden when done over the course of a few weeks.
