Bringing Out The Holly.
Warmth - Joy - Happiness:
May these all be yours during the holidays and in the comining year.
Lot’s of hustle going on one at Getting-Into-truffle. I would like to invite you to follow me as I turn our home into a winter wonderland - mostly traditions from my chest of treasures; but a few “new” items and fun, festive ideas. Happy Holidays!
The first look at our skinny tree ---
(Note: Please don’t let Mr. Truffle know what I’m up to. I’m on “medical” and he doesn’t know that I’m still working!)

A Cancelation At Gotta Scrap Inn Manchester, Michigan.
Another Visit to Gotta Scrap Inn.
What a great weekend; creating, indulging in culinary specials, spa services and the best girlfriend time (therapy) ever!
I’m a house-wise housewife who loves a great escape. I want to thank Amy who makes all of this possible. Her attention to detail and talent for hospitality made for a wonderful time. Rhonda, the new chef at the Inn, but certainly not new to award winning meals is amazing. But I’m saving the best for last…….thank you whoever happened to cancel and I was able to step in and take your place.
And to my fabulous, talented, funny, friendly, foo foo (Mary Ann) roommates that I spent time with in the slumber room; you Westside ladies rock!
Mr. Truffle, you are truly the best husband and always appreciated.
Amanda enjoyed and was delighted with her surprise of a dozen, beautiful roses along with a box of designer strawberries. How sweet is her husband? Thanks Scott, they were divine. Now back to everyday life at home in the burbs. Maybe I should make my next reservation now???!!!

Hometown Friends
Tick…tick….tick, once again, summer slipped away this year
I want to thank my high school friends, neighbors and family who were able to gather at Craw-daddy’s, Jenson Beach, Florida. I have to admit time has been kind to all of us; unlike Florida’s summer heat.
It was fun taking my husband back in time to hear about my teen years.
And thanks to Mark Zuckerberg, without you we wouldn’t have had the tools to meet.

Inn At Tilton Place
Motor City Monday #9:
I’m back all. Unfortunate circumstances had me away to Jenson Beach, Florida. We were there for a funeral, but the hostess of the bed & breakfast we stayed at was ever so kind and understanding of our situation.
She knew we were not there to vacation, but to say good-bye to my stepmother who had finally given in to her fight with cancer.
Katie insured that we had all we needed and when family gathered made us feel as if were in our own home.
The Inn-At-Tilton Place is a wonderful establishment; it is over a hundred years old and sits overlooking the inter-costal waterway on the Atlantic side of Florida. I have known of the site since it was a private residence. I was pleasantly surprised that the same family has owned the place since it was built in 1906.
While very private and non-commercial, a two-block walk will take you into Jenson Beach’s main street with an assortment of restaurants and taverns. It was lovely sitting on the balcony and being serenaded by the jazz combo in one of the outside clubs.
