Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas - long time coming, but finally here!

We’re finally done with our preparations and are relaxing; anticipating the turkey in the oven. The table is set, wine uncorked and fireplace lit.

Getting ready for the season was enjoyable. I really hate seeing it come to a close. Hopefully you were able to use one of my ideas in your decorating style. Before you know it I will be packing it up for the next season, but first, a last peek at Christmas 2010.

I just started blogging this past spring. I still have much to learn and hope to meet many more of you fabulous people. Thank you for a wonderful year. I appreciate your comments.

Season’s greeting hope to see you next year,

Shannon

A day in the life….

A day in the life….

Remember in the summer when I described what it was like to be a pastry schlepper? I am sure you all thought I had a cake job. However, won’t you take a minute or two and join me on my route today. You must bundle up tight; the temperatures will be around 8 degrees, with a wind chill factor taking this below zero Fahrenheit. The Van and I normally get along great, but today I had to leave the girl behind. Instead, I drove my Jeep Liberty. There is a snowstorm you know. I dropped it into 4-wheel drive and got along just fine. Neither wind rain, hail nor snow will keep me from delivering the Parmentier’s heavenly delights. I even had a great time doing it. Never got stuck once!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

I’ve decided to do a variation of last year’s theme. I have switched the trees placement to highlight its views both inside and from the outside. We have also added orange to the palette and have glitter and gold colored branches at the top of the tree, coordinating with the mantle design. The season, with its color and designs against the cold and white background of the outside make it perfect for evenings with just Mr. Truffle and I to simply sit talk and enjoy. I am hoping you are also enjoying the season. PS. Santa, I am not sure if you read blogs, but I have been a very good girl this year and hope you will provide me with a present under the tree. You know Santa; we will be featuring John Parmentier cookies on your plate this year!

Holiday Craft

I am sharing a bit of my craftiness with you for the holidays. I love something made from the heart. I created the mini book for a friend a few years ago. Surprise someone in your life with a homemade craft.

Creating is good for the soul!

Happy Holidays!
